  Reason for the backport:

  This version adds several new features.
  I am the upstream author and the maintainer in Debian.
  
  This is a Java application, so it would be strange if it didn't work in the targeted releases.
  I know it builds in all of them already (ppa:brunonova/testing), and that it works in Trusty. I'll check for the others.
