I personally like Ubuntu. But I differ in opinion with you. Actually Mint
is very much user friendly and that means its more user friendly than Ubuntu
is. It has non-free codecs etc built in. So, its non-free as well.
But if you want to get one of the most user friendly + all requirements met
for a newbie linux wannabe then *Ubuntu Ultimate* can be the best choice.
Have you tried it yet?
Again, I personally use Ubuntu and I like it. Without trying a thing if you
rate something good better best it will not be treated wise by others.
Thanks
