Dear Ifthrkhar,

I also use GP internet modem & my OS is ubuntu 9.04. I  faced your problem, 
when i was install newly ubuntu. i found my net connect was selected by 
manually. But when i choose it automatically, the proble was solved. Every 
time when i was plug my USB Modem it is start automatically.

I am newer in ubuntu.I can't access internet.I have gpmodem,HUAWEI 
CE068.When i connect it a massege is shown you are now connect in 
gpinternet.But i can't browse net.
when i write this command cat /proc/bus/usb/devices, no device found in the 
directory is shown.But when i write sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf it 
shows s    ome information about modem.What can i do?


include:When i use it in xp at first an .exe file istall, then i can access 
internet.
I can successfully access LAN in ubuntu.
