yes that can be one. And as tanjir said, it can be for many reasons.
You just have to start from basic ideas for troubleshooting such
errors. Just like replacing/inspecting hardware components one by one.
Ram, processor or motherboard mismatch could cause such errors. If the
error occurs to a particular machine only then you can be sure
something is not working right. And you just try to get the things in
fine condition to avoid it happen again.
