Dear Arafat,
Please tell use what version of Ubuntu are you trying?
Some information about your PC's configuration is also needed.
-Mention your Motherborad Model.
-Soundcard type and model
-Processor type model etc.
Please dont mail with several topics. You also sent me two mails previously
at the same time when you sent here. Sending only to this place would be
better for all of us.
Now, lets talk about your solution:
1. Yes there could be the case that your motherboard's internal soundcard of
separate soundcard is not being recognized. We will try to help you after
you provide the information I asked at the top.
2. Yes installing softwares in Ubuntu is really easy. If you are using Lucid
Lynx then run Software center and search for types of software you want. It
will guide you. In earlier versions use the Synaptic Package Manager to do
the same.
3. Did you run and update? You need to do that.
It might seem bit hard for you but would be easy for me to instruct you
faster.
Press *Alt+f2* then in the run dialog box. Type *gnome-terminal* then
press Enter
at the terminal please type and press enter the following without mistake:
*sudo aptitude update*
*
*
it will ask for password, so type that in and press enter again. If you are
online then Ubuntu will get update information.
Then at the terminal type again:
*sudo aptitude upgrade*
*
*
this command will upgrade necessary softwares if outdated. Its also likely
that your sound driver might be fetched automatically through this step.*
*
Regards
Lenin
