making screencast for lucid will help many undoubtly, but its old
version people are gonna use 11.10 in few days and the look and feel
of 11.10 wont be similar with 10.10 so people will have to create
screencast from the beginning. So its better to start with latest
version.

you can also make screencast on 'how to make screencast in Ubuntu
11.04' that will bring up new breed of screencastor
