Internet browser can save the passwords. So, it is possible that
virus/program can obtain information from them, because keystroke logging is
more difficult to get success for id hack though not impossible.

All the browser have support for saving password. Internet explorer doesn't
show saved passwords to the users, but Mozilla even can show the saved
passwords to the users. So getting password not too much difficult.

I have not much info about specific email service provider. But if you
analyze hacked id, you will see that these id can be used in POP3 account.
