Like I explained in my previous message, I really will not have the
energy and time to organize this. Is there someone else around Liege who
would feel like taking on this responsibility?

Laurent Sibilla, from the University of Liège, has seen a strong
interest for Linux among students of the university and wants to
organize an event centered around Ubuntu. This would happen around the
release of Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" but I am not sure the date is set
yet. I believe he is looking for people to give presentations, lead
discussions or even give some kind of training on that day. He has
contacted LiLiT (Liege Linux Team) as well.

I believe this kind of event is a super occasion for Ubuntu-be. It
would be nice to participate and coordinate efforts with LiLiT to make
this event a success.

Maybe Laurent Sibilla could tell us more about the status of this
project. I think he first contacted me about this around April, which is
about the time I started falling off the face of the Internet (see my
previous message)... Again, I am sorry I have not given a better
follow-up to this project. :-(

So, is there somebody interested in this project who could take over?

       Alexandre
