[Ubuntu-be] KBC Business

Hi all,

I just got message from my bank (KBC) that I need to upgrade my
KBC-business-account. Now, instead of using a separate card-reader like the
private accounts, they are forcing me to use an USB smartcard-reader, which,
you guessed it, doesn't work on Linux. A mail to their technical staff
doesn't show much respect for other OS's:

UNIX-varianten.

In short: "we chose to support Windows-only, cause none of our clients use
Mac, Linux or Unix-computers to access their bank accounts." I'm asking
myself what kind of R&D-managers are working at KBC. I figure that, instead
of hiring a tech-staff that knows how to do M$-programming, it really can't
be that hard to use some imagination, and hire one that knows how to program
for a UNIX environment too. Funds aren't the issue here too, I presume...

Any of you got experience in handling these kind of issues? I suppose an angry
mail to some support-guy won't do much in this case.

cheers,

b.
