Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-bluetooth
I am using a Microsoft Keyboard Elite for Bluetooth. This keyboard was
functional in 7.10 but I am unable to connect it in 8.04. I tried both
an upgrade and fresh install of 8.04 and there is no difference in the
problem. Basically in 8.04, when I put the keyboard in discovery mode,
Gnome Bluetooth can find it, asks for a passkey, and connects the
keyboard once I type in "1234" on both a wired and the bluetooth
keyboards. The connection is then immediately lost. I reverted to 7.10
and can easily connect the keyboard in Gnome using the new method
introduced with that OS, the same method tried in 8.04. This is clearly
a regression from the hardware support for this keyboard in 7.10.
** Affects: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
