interesting,

the mouse did not appear to sync when awakening from hibernate, and
the device did not show in the applet device list, but turning the
mouse on and off caused an authorization request to pop up.

when the the subsequent window popped up, checking ok made the mouse 
respond.

now the mouse shows in the preferences device list.

now i'm wondering about getting it automatically authorized?

this is still with pscan enabled
