Thanks for validating this.

My hard drive crashed recently, and after reinstalling 10.04 on a new
hard disk everything seems to be functional again. Confirming that both
L2CAP and RFCOMM works as expected.  Assignable cause for this behavior
is most likely drive corruption.

This issue has been resolved. Please close this report.
