adicione ao final universe e multiverse assim:

deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hoary main restricted universe 
multiverse

aí aquele esquema: apt-get update
apt-get install amarok

você vai ver que adicionando esses dois repositórios sua lista de programas
vai crescer bastante.
