Not quite. The language at #ubuntu-bugs is (as in most of the common
channels) English. Although every so often we can have a small
dialog in a different language, this does not make it an accepted
practice.

In summary: the language at #ubuntu-bugs is English. Only English.

Now, with that taken care of (or so I hope), back to #ubuntu-bugs-xx. I
am sort of against it: #ubuntu-bugs is dedicated to working on bugs,
with emphasis in *triaging*. It is NOT the ideal channel for:
 * is this patch correct?
 * how do I prepare a debdiff?
 * I installed Ubuntu, and my whatchamacallit is not working, what
   gives?
 * how do I print (or stamp, cement, read, paint, jump, whatever) in
   *buntu?
 * etc

I can see some questions like the above localised -- they deal with
usage, mostly. But I fail to see how a question about *triaging a bug*
would make sense only in German (or Portuguese, or Italian, or
whatever). Triaging is performed in English, after all.

On the other hand, I can see localisation helping a LOT when a group of
people join to discuss specific issues -- for example, how to reproduce
bug 123457890. The ensuing discussion will most likely get to be
complex, and having it done in one's native (or authoritative) language
would make it much more easier. I have a feeling this is actually what
Jörg intended. And I am all in favour of this approach. AS LONG AS...
#ubuntu-bugs keeps on being the primary, authoritative bug triaging
channel -- there HAS to be a place where a final answer can be produced.

Cheers,

..C..
