Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: brasero
Using Ubuntu Gutsy
This happens every time II try to burn an ISO.
I attempt the burn but it fails with a pop-up saying that the disk drive
appears to be busy and wants the media re-inserted. Doing this does
nothing. It simply won't burn ISOs and ejects the media.
Even Nautilus' built-in burner fails in a similar fashion. It usually
will keep on ejecting blank media.
I have attached the log file. In this file I noticed it used wodim as a
backend so I decided to use wodim from the CLI to see what happens.
Wodim burned the ISO flawlessly.
Seriously, how are these GUIs goofing up such a simple process that
works flawlessly in the CLI?
