[Bug 122200] Re: cannot burn cd's

Unfortunately for me the problem is not solved in Hardy Heron. I tried both Brasero and gnomebaker.
I have Hardy Heron installed (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, server ed. 64 bits)

When I run Brasero  the Status field displays: "the medium is not
writable with the current set of plugins".

With Gnomebaker the Create Dat CD does not display any devices in the
Writer list. When Burn is pressed I get repeatedly the message "Please
insert a disk into ASUS DVD-E818AT" and finally "Burning failed".

Anything basic I am missing? Any suggestions? Thanks.
