I'm closing this bug as "Invalid" since cdcontrol has been removed in Ubuntu Intrepid.
(Reason: (From Debian) RoQA; RC-buggy, security issues, unmaintain...)

I've seen that you have submitted various patches to it.. maybe you want
to contact upstream and propose those patches to her/him or even take
over maintainership for it?
