Yep - I can also confirm the problem. Using 8.10 Intrepid on 64bit AMD2
CPU. Brasero is stock '0.8.2' release on Intrepid and my drive is :-

 TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D

Worked fine on 'Hardy' - well rogered now :-(
I will look at svn'ing the latest, but for other users I hope this can be fixed and made available as per synaptic daily updates!
