I am getting this also, both in Mint 9 and Mint 10 (Lucid & Maverick),
had no problem with Karmic, there are a lot of people complaining about
this bug on various forums, would be nice to have a burner that actually
works reliably without having always drag all the KDE dependancies into
Gnome just to get K3B which does actually work properly.

I notice this bug is LOW priority, if you're going to develop a pogram
why not do it properly or if not then just bin the project so that users
don't have to keep losing money by throwing away blank media.
