Public bug reported:

I am using Brasero 2.32.0-0ubuntu2 on amd64 hardware. When I attempted
to burn an ISO to an optical disc not supported by my drive, it gave the
following error message in the log:

...
BraseroGrowisofs stdout: Executing 'builtin_dd
if=/home/kip/Desktop/Image.iso of=/dev/sr0 obs=32k seek=0'
BraseroGrowisofs called brasero_job_set_dangerous
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-[ READ DVD STRUCTURE #10h failed with
SK=0h/ASC=00h/ACQ=03h]: Input/output error
...

This is not so useful to most users. It took me a long time to figure
out what the problem was. I was using a DVD-R DL type disc, but my drive
does not support that. See below in the "Features" section for the
supported types.
