I recently upgraded a laptop and a desktop from hoary to breezy, and had 
many many problems.  Several problems with Xorg, dependency problems that 
forced me to uninstall several applications I use, and some hardware 
regressions.  Additionally, some nifty things for hoary like the 
hoary-extras containing sun's java and the w32codecs are not available for 
breezy yet (to my knowledge, anyhow), and applications like azureus broke 
for me.

Most of these problems I've overcome with patience and experience working 
with Debian based packaging tools like dkg and apt-get.  If you are not an 
expert in this area, you should consider if you want to be or not... if 
you do want become more of an expert, dive into breezy and if you have 
problems in the uprade ask for help here (obviously several of us have 
done it).  But if you just want to see the new features, I'd suggest you 
check out the Colony 3 LiveCD:
