Please, no! Not a canoe! OK, I'll settle down....
I really like the current maple leaf logo and maple leafs are, for
better or for worse (I offer no opinion on this) strongly associated
with Canada, because of our flag. See a maple leaf, think Canada.
See a canoe, think...? Uh, the joke about American beer? Mr Canoe Head?
Trudeau attempting to appear Thoreauish?
Just not distinctive enough, not strongly enough associated with Canada.
(Besides, I sold my canoe this summer, and plan to replace it with
kayaks - you should the puppy at the dive shop, drool... ...sorry, off
topic).

That's an interesting idea, but what would constitute a Canadian app?
The only thing I can think of so far is FLOSS tax software... ...any
volunteers....
Or maybe a FLOSS replacement for the ePass used in Secure Channel....
pww
ps Since you've read this far, I'll reveal that I really, really
like the maple leaf logo. Heck, I think we have the nicest
national flag, so that should be no surprise.
