Oh, sure, and let's solve <insert major problem here> while we're at
it...!
The quagmire of Canada: Which date format do we all use? Which
spellings? And what we agree makes a good home page for all us? (Sorry,
I like about:blank myself, and feel very strongly about that...).
In all seriousness, if Canadian Ubuntu is to be an exercise in graphics
and formatting, I guess I don't really see the point. There's got to be
more to make it worthwhile.
What's the goal, what's the value, what's the rallying point? What
principle are we supporting, what problem are we solving, by making this
effort?
(I really like the "restricted and encumbered" idea. Despite what I
wrote earlier, if we the ubuntu-ca community feel that is the right
approach, then great, let's go! But let's consensisize* first.
(Cosensisize: Verb, to come to a consensus. First use: Tim Howes, LDAP
WG, San Jose IETF, 1996. Come to think of it, I argued the minority and
losing side in that one....)
