AN INTERESTING LINK

While doing some internet research on making dsl connections to the
Internet, I came across this link, which you may find interesting, even
if it is slanted toward Mandrake. Of special interest to me was the
Mandrake wizard to set up dsl internet connections. It would be really
great if we had something like that, but more consistent with the "human
look" in Ubuntu, perhaps added, as an additional choice to the initial
System/Administration/Network menu. Here's the link:
http://www.comptechdoc.org/os/linux/manual1/dsl.html
At the moment, I'm inclined to try using simple dsl modem -> router to
solve my current dsl connection problems.
