Canadian localization problem in Kubuntu 7.10

I've come across a problem in the newest version of Kubuntu (Gutsy),
specifically in the Canadian localization. I'm not sure if this is an
Ubuntu problem or a KDE one. It definitely affects anyone doing an
upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy for anyone using Kubuntu with the en_CA
locale; I've seen identical behaviour on two different upgrades.

Specifically, the problem is in the file:
/usr/share/locale-langpack/en_CA/LC_MESSAGE/kicker.mo

When I compare (decompiled contents of) this file with those of other
locales, I notice that the last date of translation and the names of the
last translators is missing. There are also two errors that make the
menu display go wonky.

A description of the bug as reported at Launchpad is
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/135084

Does anyone here know the KDE translators who do the en_CA locale? Are
they aware of this? Or is it an Ubuntu-specific problem?

FWIW, in addition to contributing to the above bug report in launchpad I
have also filed this with KDE (#153341).

Thanks for any help with this,

- Evan
