Acer Aspire 3620 notebook, switches that I'd like to switch

Everything has been good so far, but now my battery life is not what it was
only a short time ago. I can stretch it over two hours, but I don't get the
3+ hours that I could get before.
The switches on the front may be part of the issue, or at least provide a
clue. The bluetooth switch feels busted, and there is no sign of it in
dmesg output. The indicator light for my wireless adapter is now always lit,
even when the ath0 device is deactivated and not configured.
I'm wondering if something is running that should not be, or if my battery
is just getting past its prime (bought in August 06)
The info from dmesg | tail when I flick the wifi switch. Bluetooth has no
effect.
