Hi Dave,

Are the small square boxes also in the login screen or after you login?
Also, are these characters in the menus or only in programs?

If they're in the menus, then my best guess is that the language settings
have changed. Before you log in, check the language settings. There should
be an option near the bottom of the screen to check the language settings.
