I run Gutsy on an iMac and I also have it running on a MacBook Pro
with 1.5GB of RAM. The boot-up time is comparable to my primary
machine, a Dell
Latitude D620 with 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core2 Duo at 2.33 GHz.

On the Macs I don't have boot camp. They are only running Ubuntu.

The iMac has 512 MB of RAM and boots reasonably fast. One thing to add is
that I'm running Xubuntu on the iMac but Ubuntu on the MacBook.

Andrew.
