Hi Maurice
i would be willing to give this a try, but, if you could help me tweak
my mic settings, as i had the skype going last night, and the other
person could not hear me ok enough, i know th emic was working when it
was on the win xp system....
oh and if anyone knows about another tweak needing some advice
dvds play ok, however, hardly any decent sound, for music playing while
at home, i use the xmms, as it is simple and small... reminds me of
winamp... so, i dunno, i think maybe another lib file or something is
needed, but am going to leave it as is,.,, oh and also, the mp3 player
quit again, so i dunno about that, i am going to try and reinstall two
video/media players i had before, (gotta remember what they were ;) )
as maybe there was some file from them that somehow was alos needed to
get the mp3 player to show up on the desktop as it did before... and of
course, still got to get them ipod shuffles going... i was looking to
buy one today, but, three stores, nobody knew of ubuntu, and they all
said their mp3 players were designed for windows..,.. this to me is
proof there is a monopoly with the whole windows scene... so, having
finally figured out the reasons behind more of the 'other' computer
operating systems, yeh, the linux users are truly a very small bunch...
and also, i would like to apologize for my seeming rudeness at times, no
real excuse other than i used to be on windows and over medicated on
brain job pills.... so, i will now be patient and willing to wait for
the right info to come along.... of course if anyone knows where to
download extra time, send me the link, haha... so much going on here...
thanks for your time and have a great day
Brian
