ipod shuffle error message

hello, have the gtkpod installed, plug in the shuffle, clicked the Read
button, this error message shows in small popup window ::::

'/media/ipod/iPod_Control/iTunes/iTunesDB' does not exist. Import
aborted.
::::
as well, i tried this auto mount off of Edit Preferences . and when i
got to close the gtkpod another error shows ::::

Unmounting of '/media/ipod' unsuccessful.
::::

so, am stuck now, run out of stuff i have read to do, i found this one
site, they showed all the instructions, did everything, no good so
far...

any ideas? pricing out the latest players, will be easier to get these
ipods working then the time needed to buy a newer one...

cannot access any other computers with windows... so am stuck using only
linux solutions...
