Summary: In order to make "Linux" popular, it must become Microsoft
Windows, failings and all.
I've seen many versions of this identical article over the last
decade+, and none of them have really said anything useful. While
interface interoperability (human , API and file format) is useful to
allow for easier migration (Which requires software developer/vendor
interest, but also legal reforms to patent and copyright law to disallow
interface monopolies), everything else suggested is actually a
disadvantage and not an advantage.
