Hi all:
I am a newbie have ubuntu 6.06 on my desktop and 6.10
on my laptop dual booted with XP. At home I use HP
laserjet 1012 works fine on both system.
At my work I was afraid I would not be able to use
ubuntu 6.10 on a network but I was able to set it up
as UNIX LPD and it works like a charm it is amazing,
the printer is a LaserJet 2100 one of the old models,
of course I useed the IP address of the printer in the
Host area to set it up.
I dont know much about this kind of stuff I tried it a
couple of times with CUPS did not work by changing it
to UNIX it worked.
