newbie query

hello
i tried the following commands and got these errors :::

loki4t4 at alpha44:~$ sudo dpkg -i ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386
Password:
dpkg: error processing ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386 (--install):
 cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386
loki4t4 at alpha44:~$ sudo dpkg -i /usr/local/ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386
dpkg: error processing /usr/local/ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386 (--install):
 cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /usr/local/ymessenger_1.0.4_1_i386

and then, i right clicked the file as it is in the desktop window
and then got this message ::: 

Error: Dependancy is not satisfiable: libgdk-pixbuf2

do i need to install this file name? i read something about possibly
needing to install files in order to get the other programs to work,
only, if i do have to install this file, then where and how

sorry to ask stupid questions, hopefully will not need to do so in
future as i do learn from doing, just need to know what that doing will
be for future reference....

oh and someone here mentioned something about yahoo not supporting
voice.. does this mean even if i do get yahoo installed correctly, i
will not be able to do voice chat?
