Blackberry in Linux Any Clue?

Hi All:
Thanks in advance for your responses.
I happened to get a blackberry from factorydirect 8700.
Can I use it with linux?
Is there any way I could get it to synchronize with evolution or thunderbird mail.
If there are some simple tutorials/help it would be great.
