how to set up evolution with sympatico

Sympatico requires smtp authentication and now it is working when I use TLC encrypitation.
But it does not work with SSL encryptation.
I am not sure of the level of security though.
I am not sure if I need a separate user name and password.
I used the username and password of my primary email account to set up the pop server and it worked.
This is the pop server I used
pophm.sympatico.ca:995

Thanks for the help.

Does sympatico require smtp authentication and do you have that set up
with username/password?

I found that evolution was made to do too many things for me
