Hello Justin (& Rick),

I realize I'm a little late to this party, but I've been experiencing a
some what similar problem with Firefox 2.0.0.x (specifically Linux).

Up to a few weeks ago, I was able to log into both my Yahoo mail and
Google mail from my Ubuntu based home machine. The problem is that with
Yahoo mail, I am repetitively questioned to enter my password without
ever getting into my mail account. Google mail simply goes nuts loading
data with lots and lots of "loading" messages displayed in rapid
succession displayed in the lower left status bar and then errors out
with a time out connection and again I'm never able to get to into the
mail page.

Testing both my accounts from a Windows machine at work, everything
works as expected. That machine also uses Firefox 2.0.0.1 and a few days
back upgraded itself to 2.0.0.2, again with no problems.

Now after thinking about the problem and spending a weeks in
correspondences/testing with Yahoo's online help staff with no joy, it
now occurres to me that perhaps we are experiencing a similar problem,
if somewhat different symptoms.

I'm beginning to suspect that there's may be a problem with the Linux
(Ubuntu) version of Firefox's ssl support, since online bank system by
their nature would also use ssl connections.

As it stands, I'm stuck maintaining my online mail accounts from work
and I'm pretty sure my employer would frown on my uses of his resources.

Regards
Gord
