I use the Staples brand CD/DVD's. Can say I've had any problems with 
them. Actually the only reason I got them was because there's a Staples 
just down the street from where I work and I had a coupon for a few 
dollars off. Normally I get the no name brand from downtown Toronto 
(Collage/Spadina).

If they are DVD's are you sure you got the right type. There is a 
difference between +R and -R, and depending on your drive it may not 
read/write them. Of that problem I speak from experience (blush).
