Another distribution you might consider is Zenwalk
<http://www.zenwalk.org/>- it's even more lightweight than Xubuntu and
as far as I can tell, just as
user friendly.  The "full version" is only 420 Mb, and an installation on a
600 Mhz PC with 128 Mb ram took about 20 minutes.  Good luck,
