Hi Maurice,

I don't have a lot of knowledge in the tv card / webcam departement
but if you want to stop the random assignment of device node your best
bet would be to create udev rules :

http://reactivated.net/writing_udev_rules.html

You can test udev rules before applying them to your system so you
don't have to be afraid to try it out.
