Hey Tee Jay, what you need to do is reconfigure your xorg configuration.
It's really easy. All you need to do is open up a terminal and type
"sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg -phigh" , but don't change the
driver. The next screen should let you select new resolutions. Choose
all that apply, and save the configuration. In order for the new
resolutions to come into effect, you must restart xorg. Log out, hit
Ctrl Alt Backspace, and it will bring you back to the login screen,
hopefully with a new resolution. If it hasn't changed, there should be
more resolutions available to you in System > Preferences > Screen
Resolution.
Have fun!
