 Ori:

I am not sure how you conclude that the the idea for a release party
   has died out.

Some on the List, Andrew and I, have been working on getting a Party
   setup.

A proposed Agenda and location have already be suggested.

5-7 people have already indicated they would like to attend.

We are now looking for 2 people to give interesting and fun( not
  technical) talks.

This finding people to give talks takes time so am not sure if the
  25th is not too soon.

I know the LinuxCaffe and am not sure it is the best place to hold
  such a party.
