Hi:
I had this problem too , that Busy box came up the first time I tried to
install Ubuntu 8.10. I took a look at the Hard Drive and noticed that
the Selection Jumper was set to Master, but for more than one device,
eg, slave was supposed to be there too, but was not. I fixed this
setting it to Master - only drive. Then on the second attempted install,
everything went fine!
Alfred!

Hi Alex,
Perhaps the CD device driver isn't being loaded at boot time. The PC
will boot from the CD but it will drop you to a busybox command prompt
if the CD device drivers aren't loaded.
At the command prompt, try the following. Type:
modprobe ide_generic
modprobe ide_disk
modprobe ide_cd
exit
Once you type exit, the system will attempt to continue booting from the CD.
Andrew.
