me and a friend had alot of trouble with hardy on the aspire one.. as
we couldnt get the wireless working among other things. However
intrepid installed very easily.. we just had to install via ethernet
and when we were booted we had to install "
linux-backports-modules-intrepid " in order to get the ath5k driver
running(wireless on the aspireone).. after this I think that 2 drivers
available in the system > Administration > hardware drivers.. I may of
had to play around/change/reboot to get the system working. Sorry
for not giving hardy specific advice.. just trying to save you alot
of trouble.

good luck!
