Jaunty Jackalope alpha 3 spotted in wild
Ubuntu readies latest distro ahead of April release

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01/19/jaunty_jackalope_alpha_3/

...

Other big changes to the distro include the use of X.org’s latest 1.6
server, which means no more support for proprietary nVidia drivers,
thereby forcing Linuxtards to either wait for an update from the chip
maker or simply opt for an open source driver instead.

...

which means i'll be waiting. for either nvidia to get it right or
someone to write the how-to on downgrading xorg to get the nvidia driver
again.

where/whom do i email (at) nvidia about this? does anyone know how
nvidia are responding to this?
