I'm not clear on whether you're looking for help to fix your problems,
or looking for a place to gripe.  If you're looking for help, this is
the right place.  If you're looking to gripe, I don't think you can
expect a warm and appreciative response.

Ubuntu's upgrade process is pretty impressive, but I do find a clean
re-install is helpful every couple releases.
