Ya. What I believe this means is that Nvidia has to write support for xorg-server 1.6 into their proprietary drivers. It just means you have to be patient. Support for 1.5 didn't come out until end of last May IIRC therefore 1.5 didn't make it into hardy but was included in intrepid. I guess Ubuntu devs are expecting support from Nvidia for 1.6 sooner rather than later.
