Google Wave

For all the buzz about wave replacing all communication it really
doesn't do everything well. I don't think its gonna replace email at
all, its almost nothing like email.
It can emulate instant messaging, but it's awkward. For example, you
can go back up in the conversation and delete old messages or reply
inline further up. I'm used to IM conversations going linearly
downwards and checking at the bottom. Google wave doesn't even
automatically scroll down when something new appears, and there's no
text box to type your reply in. You have to hit "reply" first to
create a new message.
As far as I can tell, wave is basically google docs on steroids. It
works well for collaborating on a document or like a really slick wiki
page. Its probably better than anything else right now for this, but I
think the way they are marketing it as the new email is just gonna
confuse everyone.
