Ubuntu Canadian translators group on launchpad?

Hello there,

I recently found the Ubuntu Canadian translators group on Launchpad and I'm wondering if it is active and whether I can join it?  I did ask on IRC, but I was directed to 
this mailing list, so I hope to get a response here!

Note: I am not in Canada, I am not even Canadian, but I would love to help out and my native language is British English, which I understand isn't much different (I'm 
sorry if that offends anyone) and I have family and friends in Canada!
