ubuntu-ca.org needs help!

Corey's statement above:

"Yes, we could host it ourselves, but the challenge with that is that
then we have to make certain the person who admins it doesn't
disappear. The advantage of Canonical is that non-active people (ahem,
myself) can be bypassed easily."

Corey's point here needs to be consider VERY carefully.  The ONLY
reason it was even possible for me to make any impact on ubuntu-ca.org
was because it was being hosted by Canonical.  Had it been hosted by a
3rd party, I (or others who come after me) would not have the ability
to reinvigorate/update/improve Ubuntu-ca's site.

I think the 3rd party hosting would certainly correct the technical
issues with the site, but potentially introduce the possibility of
losing the site forever, due to members leaving or neglect.
