Bind is killing me.

It's hard to tell you what is going on without a copy of your zonefile
or knowing what your domain is. My guess is that you're missing an A
entry for your domain itself:

example.com.  A     10.0.0.1  ; <- Probably missing
www           A     10.0.0.1  ; <- Probably have

Another option would be an apache misconfiguration. Is your domain
resolvable? Does `dig example.com` bring back the correct information?
